The architects were approached by the client to design and reconstruct the interiors of a four bedroom duplex in an existing building. The design process began keeping in mind the brief to achieve a modern yet timeless space. The master bedroom suite on the upper level is designed with separate walk in closets for him and her with a spacious bathroom. A steel and wood curved fabricated staircase connects the two levels. The mirrored ceiling reflects the staircase void giving an illusion of multiple levels. Each space is finished with a palette of materials that define the character of the space and yet are in continuum with the rest of the house. An elegant and contemporary home was achieved without amending the structure of the existing building.
